My friend just bought a 901 from Guru's bankruptcy sale and currently building it up.

    That stem makes me cry.

So true @Matt, makes me cry too.  I needed a full custom with about 40mm more stack, but the reach was correct for what I needed.  Couldn't afford a full custom, so beggars can't be choosers.

Who knows, as I age, I may be able to get comfortably to a more aero position and look really cool.  We can only hope.

What angle is that stem? I just had a fit done and am sad I have to go with a higher front end (+17 degree). Can't get a bigger size bike, before someone suggest that. I'm as flexible as a 2x4, and looking at my bike will hopefully motivate me to work on my flexibility. Either that or I'll get new bars with risers next year :)

My new Canyon Speedmax is waiting for me at home. The wheels are going to need an upgrade but I'll but something up in the interim (need to wait a bit before I can afford the extra outlay)

@Robert Rankin the stem on my Guru that makes Matt cry is a +10 degree. I need a short bike (tiny torso compared to legs plus I'm inflexible), but need a lot of stack. I think its a 110 stem.
However, to make @Matt 's tears dry up, I may someday drop the stem rise, and instead raise the armpads and extensions independently from the bullhorn with the profile design pad riser kit(s). This may look cooler, and maintain my position. It will give that large separation you see on some TT bikes between the pads and the bullhorns.
It would look cooler, but I'm not that worried or vain to make all that effort yet.
However, we have to represent the team proudly, so I may do it simply for that reason.
    Keep kickin ass Robert!

The turbo doesn't really do the bike justice (nor does the lurid lycra clad imbecile on top) but to satisfy interim bike porn needs here's a photo I (aka my girlfriend) took whilst I was playing about with fit....

Also, any comments on fit appreciated.

Sweet ride. Regarding the fit, it looks like you need to slide your pads forward (maybe an inch?). Imagine a line from your ear to your ass, you want your upper arm to be more perpidicular to that imaginary line. It should make it easier to hold your position and you'll feel "locked-in".

Yea but it's fucking heavy, any bigger would be a killer on the hills.

@ellsworth53t by forward you mean forward down the road yes? It already feels like I'm reaching a touch but that might be a need to pull the extensions a bit shorter... Hmmmm

@andrewm88 Yes, I'm suggesting the pads slide forward to give your arm (from shoulder to elbow) an angle a bit closer to Kienle's in the image.

It does look like you also want to shorten the length of the extension, it might help with that feeling of reaching too far. Your index finger looks extended out to the shifter, but you probably want the shifter closer to the middle of your finger.
*Disclaimer: I'm far from an expert. I'm just letting you know what has worked for me.

@ellsworth53t cheers, I was shooting for the "elbows directly under shoulders" approach so that upper body weight is borne straight down the axis of the upper arm (which I heard was meant to reduce shoulder tension). I will experiment with your suggestion (along with other tweaks).

    @Matt
Stem fixed. I ride it this way for sprints, and 30mm stock profile risers for just the pads/extensions for long course.
